Carbon steel can be used at temperatures in the 400 - 450°C range.
Mo steel can be used can be used in the 450 -500°C range. (When temperatures exceed 550°C, Cr is added to elevate the oxidizing proof property.)
Cr-Mo steel can be used up to 600°C .
Austenite (stainless steel) can be used at around 850°C.
